Holiday Village .... A fabulous Resort
Me & my husband decided to take a few friends out for dinner last friday. We also had guests from Dallas who were keen on trying Indian Food. We decided to head for Holiday Village as we had heard that their restaurant Baisakhi serves good Indian snacks & food. We were surprised to find a Live Ghazal & Old Hindi song recital going on and were told that this was a regular feature every friday night. The place is very beautifully made and they also have a swimming pool and 15 cottages. We tried the Live Barbeque (which is an assortment of Indian nonveg Kababs from the tandoor served on a bed of live coal on a barbeque), the tawa fish, the mix veg platter, the golden crispy Prawn and many other starters all of which I must admit were just outstanding. We all enjoyed the starters so much that we just settled for Punjabi Daal makhani, Tava chicken and a few bread baskets for the main course, which was also was very tasty The staff is Polite and very well mannered. Our guests who have returned to the US have been remembring the dinner and were floored by the old songs. Must say that I would gladly recommend this lovely place to all who like Ghazals and who love good Indian food.
